Kindergarten readiness
We construct our data-based curriculum using Boston-based research to combine developmentally appropriate practices, inquiry-based learning, and child-led education.
Devoted Teachers that far surpass the industry standard
PSA has 5 classrooms and 5 teachers with at least a bachelor’s degree or MORE in early childhood or a related field.
Outdoor Learning
Our commitment to spending 30% of our day outdoors for the children’s mental, physical, and emotional well being.
Our unique location
School grounds are on the Tri-Community Greenway, disconnected from vehicular traffic
Safe, secluded environment allows for extensive nature-based exploration
Natural learning environment
Winchester’s historical Aberjona River runs parallel to our school and provides an immersive backdrop for nature-based science lessons, enriching our curriculum with real life exploration
Transformation and expansion
In 2008, PSA had only a single classroom and 4 students. Today, we have 5 classes, 20 teachers, and over 100 students!
Child-Centric Philosophy
Reggio Emilia Approach sees children as capable learners born with a vast potential for development and rights to learning.
"Hundred Languages" Perspective:
Children learn and express themselves through various “languages” - not just speech, but art, movement, and interaction with one another, fostering a sense of community and shared learning.
Active Participation
Children are viewed as active contributors, encouraged to explore, create, and express themselves freely as citizens within our community.
Unconventional Learning
The Reggio approach fosters a love for learning by acknowledging each child's unique abilities and encouraging diverse forms of expression and exploration.
